SI3000 ANTS – Advanced Number Translation Solution

The solution can be used to adapt the routing of the call (when #B is modified), adjust the presentation number (when #A is modified) or both.

The Number Translation solution comprises the following functionalities:

• #A number modification,
• #B number modification,
• self-provisioning,
• statistics and transactions recording.

The solution consists of a server pair: a Call Server (CS) and an Application Server (AS). The CS functions as a switching engine that receives an incoming call with #A and #B, sends a query to the AS, receives a response with a modified #A or #B (or both) and routes it as an outgoing call. In this solution the AS (called the NTAS – Number Translation Application Server) functions as a number-translation logic engine that analyses the received number and modifies it according to its business rules, based on the call origin (#A), the call destination (#B), the time/date, etc.
