SI3000 WiMAX-based access networks enable operators and service providers to cost-effectively reach millions of potential new customers, providing them with broadband access.
WiMAX Access is suitable for fixed and mobile subscribers. The introduction of the 16e mobile standard allows the utilization of mobile connectivity, according to the infrastructural demands.
WiMAX is designed to provide E1-level bandwidth to businesses and the equivalent of cable/DSL access for home users.
Full Coverage
The product is based on top-notch technologies such as OFDM modulation. This fact guarantees system performance in LOS and NLOS deployment conditions.
Complementary to Wireline Connectivity
Because of its architecture, interfaces, and simple network integration, SI3000 WiMAX Access is designed to deliver high-quality voice and high-speed internet access, including streaming data services.
Flexibility
SI3000 WiMAX access is intended for a number of applications, including last-mile broadband access, Wi-Fi hotspot, and cellular backhaul.
The SI3000 WiMAX system architecture comprises
- base-stations composed of IDUs and ODUs
- subscriber stations for indoor and outdoor deployment
- ASN gateway
SI3000 WiMAX BS (Base-station)
The SI3000 WiMAX Base-Stations use a number of different blades to support different
BS configurations, network structures and implementation scenarios. The building block can be divided into different groups of products, according to the functions they cover (mobile or fixed):
- MEA 1U
- MEA 6
- WiMAX NP blades
- Clock Sync & 24-hour buffer blade
SI3000 WiMAX ODU Outdoor
The SI3000 WiMAX system design supports two models of ODUs to be used with the WiMAX blades:
- SI3000 WiMAX BS8100 (1Tx 1Rx) with 30 dBm and (802.16d)
- SI3000 WiMAX BSM8200 (2Tx 2Rx) with 36 dBm or 40 dBm (802.16e)
SI3000 WiMAX SS (Subscriber station)
The Subscriber Station installed at the customer premises provides data connectivity through the base-station. As an essential part of the WiMAX solution the subscriber stations are divided into:
- Full indoor operation
- Semi-indoor operation
- Outdoor operation
The SI3000 WiMAX Subscriber Stations (802.16d – fixed ) series come in different versions:
- SI3000 WiMAX SS2120 indoor s.s. with integrated directional antenna
- SI3000 WiMAX SS2130 indoor s.s. with integrated 4-sector switched-beam antenna
- SI3000 WiMAX SS2140 indoor s.s. with antenna connector
- SI3000 WiMAX SS2160 outdoor s.s. with high-gain integrated antenna
The SI3000 WiMAX SSM3100 / SSM32100 series Subscriber Stations (802.16e- mobile):
- SI3000 WiMAX SSM3120 / SSM3140 indoor s.s. with integrated directional / omni antenna
- SI3000 WiMAX SSM3160 Outdoor s.s. with high-gain integrated antenna
- SI3000 WiMAX SSM3210 PCMCIA card
SI3000 WiMAX ASN gateway
The Light ASN is the SI3000 WiMAX ASN-GW for Mobile WiMAX networks with rich WiMAX Forum
NWG feature support as well as full roaming and interoperability support. It supports the interfaces specified by the ASN Reference Model to mobile stations, base-stations, CSN and neighboring ASN-GWs.
