Goal of Innovation awards, that take place every year under the organization of regional offices of Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, is to stimulate innovation in business and technology, and to publicly highlight technological and innovation leaders.

In the Iskratel group, we are aware of the fact that modern info-communications solutions consist of complex intertwining of telecommunications and informatics. This is why we are exceptionally pleased and proud that the head of IT in the Iskratel group, Anton Kavčič, MA, is the award winner of the CIO of the year 2014.

Today the member of the Iskratel group, the development center for information and communication technology (Slovenian acronym: RC IKT), officially opened its renewed premises which are meant for the establishment of a new entrepreneurial and technological-innovational ecosystem of national importance.

Within the framework of the 26th International Exhibition for Telecommunications, Control Systems, IT and Communication Services «Sviaz‑Expocomm 2014», held in Moscow, OAO Rostelecom, a russian manufacturer of telecommunication equipment, and ZAO IskraUralTEL have signed a cooperation agreement on modernization and development of communication networks.

The hosts presented to the Prime Minister and Minister Dragonja Iskratel's work and its projects in Russia and the CIS region.

Iskratel’s showcase at FTTH Conference 2014 in Stockholm was a success, and we would like to thank you for being part of it.

On 21th of January 2013 Iskratel has successfully acquired a certificate for their solution for a GSM-R fixed dispatcher system issued by TÜV Rheinland at the end of 2012.

At the second Slovenian Technological Platform for Smart Grids conference, the power company Elektro Gorenjska presented its project called “Active networks' (SmartGrids) communication system upgrade to WiMAX”.
