Andrej Polenec, CEO of the Iskratel Group, and Vadim Semyonov, Director General of Svyazinvest, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for the modernization and development of the telecommunications networks of the Svyazinvest company. The document was signed at the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation in Moscow, in the presence of Gregor Golobič, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and Igor Shegolev, Russian Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications.
In accordance with the signed memorandum, Iskratel and Svyazinvest wish to strengthen and enhance their many years of cooperation, taking into account the latest trends in the field of advanced, promising communications technologies, by using the products and solutions of the Slovenian company Iskratel.
"Signing such an important document as this memorandum means laying the foundations on which Iskratel's subsidiary company Iskrauraltel will introduce advanced European technologies and standards into the Svyazinvest networks. The constant support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology along with the Slovenian Embassy in Moscow shows how important the signed memorandum is. It is a basis for Iskrauraltel to formulate and collaborate in the development of Svjazivnest's telecommunications network, by using new approaches and the most advanced technologies, such as FTTH, FTTC, Iskratel Business Communication, and FMC (*). By employing these technologies and implementing them in the networks, we will raise the level of the local production of telecommunications equipment in the Russian Federation," said Andrej Polenec, Iskratel's CEO.
