Ljubljana, 30 November 2018—After the implementation plan for the selected measures received a positive assessment from the external auditors, Iskratel was awarded the “Family-Friendly Enterprise” basic certificate.

With this basic certificate, Iskratel has joined the ranks of organizations that allow their employees to balance family and professional obligations. The “Family-Friendly Enterprise” certificate was awarded at a special ceremony by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, Breda Božnik.

The purpose of this socially responsible project is to contribute to the long-term process of changing corporate and public culture by raising awareness in both individuals and employers that a work/life balance is attainable and that family life does not need to be sacrificed for a successful career.

The certificate, which has been awarded to more than 260 Slovenian companies and organizations, guarantees both short and long-term positive effects of balancing employees’ professional and family life. These are reflected in a reduction in employee turnover, sick leave, absences related to providing care to family members, accidents, and so on, and an increase in employee satisfaction, motivation, and commitment, leading to beneficial economic results.
